Commitment to Sustainable Development

The Hotel Manapany operates with respect and protection for the environment.

Electricity needs are partially met by solar panels.

The desalination station provides drinking water for the hotel, and only electric cars are allowed on the 5-acre property.

Ecological Practices at the Heart of the Hotel

For cleaning and maintenance, only eco-certified and natural products are used.

All hotel towels are made from bamboo fiber-based natural fibers.

The Resort offers guavas, starfruits, bois d'inde, bananas, and coconuts, fresh organic ingredients for the restaurant's healthy cuisine, while other food products are mainly locally sourced.

As for spa treatments and massages, only organic products from Dr. Hauschka are used.

Environmentally Friendly Living Environment

We prioritize the use of ecological products and methods, such as cleaning with eco-labeled products and biodegradable detergents, whether for rooms or linen.

All bedroom linen changes are made at the request of the guest. We regularly monitor and control air conditioning systems. Our Spa offers Dr. Hauschka treatments, whose products are certified organic. Our concierges guide our guests towards activities with a low environmental impact. Our 5-star Eco-Resort is arranged to allow the unhindered passage of wildlife, including turtles and iguanas.

Responsible Resource Management

The Resort's water network is autonomous in its supply and treatment, releasing no wastewater into the environment or the sea. The island of St. Barts benefits from ideal sunlight throughout the year. To optimize this sunlight, Hotel Manapany transforms solar energy to produce its own hot water.

Hotel Manapany has banned the use of single-use plastic in the staff kitchens and eliminated plastic bottles throughout the hotel. Our laundry bags are made of recycled paper. Billing is sent by email to limit the consumption of paper and ink.

Resort lighting is done exclusively with LEDs. The air conditioners used are A++ rated, and all common areas are naturally ventilated. Our rooms are equipped with energy-saving card switches. We track and optimize our energy consumption monthly.

Bathrooms are equipped with water-saving taps. Wastewater is treated and used for drip irrigation of the garden.

Responsible Purchasing Policy

Hotel Manapany's cuisine takes full advantage of the island's natural and seasonal produce. Fish, shellfish, aromatic herbs, fruit and vegetables from the Resort... Local and organic products are served at breakfast. We use local plants from the garden for some dishes. Our garden supplies us with flowers for hotel decoration. Our bathrooms are equipped with bath product dispensers to limit individual packaging. We train our employees in environmental commitments.We select suppliers who are also committed to an eco-responsible business approach.

Our linen is made of bamboo fiber, a material that consumes 5 times less resource than traditional cotton linen. All our stationery is eco-labeled.

Electric Cars and Sustainable Mobility

We encourage our guests to travel in electric cars. Each of our rooms has a parking space equipped with a charging station. Different ranges of electric vehicles are available for rent, whether for an excursion ride or for the entire duration of the stay. Our teams also move around in 100% electric carts to carry out their duties.

Hotel Manapany is committed to protecting and preserving its environment. That's why we try to work as much as possible with local producers and grow our own fruit and vegetables. Thus, we cultivate several species of fruit trees throughout the Resort, providing fruit which you will find fresh on your plate and on our breakfast buffets.
